Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Data Science Strategy (ODSS) is seeking information from small businesses to advance data transparency and reproducibility in biomedical research. The goal is to create best practices that promote scientific reproducibility and rigor, which will increase data sharing and reuse, and ultimately drive new discoveries and advances in biomedical research. The project requirements include tasks such as data transparency advancement, data management and sharing optimization, and functional analyses and assessments to promote efficiency and effectiveness. • The project aims to increase data sharing and reuse, reducing duplicative research expenditures. • The NIH data research ecosystem must increase data sharing and reuse through strategic improvements. • The creation of best practices will support the research community's research data use and sharing, advancing transparency and reproducibility in discoveries. • The project will drive towards the Administration and Department's end outcomes, including promoting scientific data transparency and reducing costs.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $5,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate as the document does not provide a specific budget or funding amount. However, based on the project requirements and the goal of advancing data transparency and reproducibility in biomedical research, it is likely that the budget will be in the range of $500,000 to $5 million. This estimate is based on the assumption that the project will require significant expertise and resources to create best practices that promote scientific reproducibility and rigor. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the complexity of the project, the number of small businesses that respond to the notice, and the NIH's budget for the project.
