Description
The Berrien County Board of Commissioners is seeking bids for the construction of the FY 2026 LMIG for Roadway Resurfacing & Striping. The project involves resurfacing approximately 2.87 miles of roadway and striping approximately 73.32 miles over 22 roads. The work will be awarded in two contracts, and the time allotted for completion is 90 consecutive calendar days to substantial completion, with a total of 104 consecutive calendar days for contract closeout. The bid documents can be obtained from Watkins & Associates, LLC, and the bid submission deadline is May 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM ET.
• The project requires pre-qualification of bidders prior to the award of contract.
• A bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than 10% of the amount bid is required.
• The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract amount.
• The project is funded by a grant from the Local Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) & Local Maintenance & Improvement Grant (LMIG).
