Next Generation High Frequency Radio System – Shore (HFRS-S)

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is conducting market research to gather industry input regarding the potential future acquisition of a Next Generation HF Radio System – Shore (HFRS-S) project. The HFRS-S system will replace legacy HF radio systems within the HF Shore Communications Systems (COMSYS). The system will consist of various numbers of HF transceivers, receivers, high power amplifiers, power supplies, and other hardware and software components. The system must be compliant with various military standards, including MIL-STD-188-141D and MIL-STD-188-110D. Key features of the system include simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) capability, upper and lower sideband (USB/LSB) modes, amplitude modulation (AM), and frequency shift keying (FSK) modes. The system must also be capable of automatic built-in test (BIT) and have a reliability prediction and service life. • The HFRS-S system will be used for shore-based operations. • The system must be compliant with various military standards. • The system must have SIMOPS capability and support multiple modulation modes. • The system must have automatic BIT and reliability prediction and service life. • The system must be compatible with existing Communications Management System (CMS). • The system must have a user-friendly interface and be easy to operate and maintain.
