Water Storage Tank Repair Services

The City of Chesapeake is soliciting bids from fully qualified bidders to establish an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract to clean, paint, and provide structural improvements and repairs to raw and finished water storage tanks as per applicable drawings and specifications. The tanks include both concrete and steel storage tanks. The objective of this solicitation is to complete repairs to the City’s storage tanks based on inspection reports provided by the City pertaining to each tank. The contractor shall furnish all labor, personnel, equipment, supplies, and materials necessary to repair the tanks. The contract period is one year with four one-year renewal options. * Key services include: * Cleaning and painting of tanks * Structural improvements and repairs * Replacement of damaged or deteriorated parts * Inspection and testing of tanks * Repair of concrete and steel surfaces * Application of coatings and linings * Removal and disposal of hazardous materials * The contractor must be properly licensed and insured, and must comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
