RFQ 2025-04 Surfside Memorial

The Town of Surfside is seeking proposals from experienced general contractors to oversee the construction of the Champlain Towers South Memorial. The selected respondent will be responsible for providing all necessary labor, permits, and supervision to execute various tasks, including site preparation, utility service connections, construction of the water feature, shade structure, hardscape, landscape, irrigation, and signage. The respondent will also ensure the fulfillment of all other requirements outlined in the project plans and technical specifications. Key responsibilities include managing the construction site, providing jobsite safety and security, scheduling and coordinating inspections, maintaining written project progress records, and guaranteeing the quality of construction. • Manage the construction of the improvements that constitute the Project • Serve as a Lead Member of the project team and coordinate project meetings • Provide required records and documentation for the Town • Manage and coordinate with all utility owners for necessary service connections • Prepare shop drawings, RFI’s and other documents necessary to accomplish the work • Engage specialty subcontractors capable of delivering quality granite work and artistic shotcrete installation
