DD1 - VA CLASS PROPULSOR ENCLOSURE PHASES 1 & 2 LOCATED IN PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD (KITTERY, MAINE) IN SUPPORT OF THE SHIPYARD INFRASTRUCTURE OPTIMIZATION PROGRAM (SIOP)

The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Atlantic is seeking qualified small businesses to provide information on their capabilities for a potential construction project at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine. The project involves the fabrication of a portable, modular, 5-story work enclosure and the construction of a concrete storage pad. The enclosure must be fabricated by an American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) certified fabricator and delivered by barge. The project also includes the fabrication of two portable, truss-style steel material handling bridges. The Government is contemplating award of a contract for this project and is seeking information on the availability and adequacy of potential small business sources. • The project requires experience with steel fabrication, custom steel construction, and delivery by barge. • The project requires experience with concrete on-ground and post-installed concrete anchors. • The project requires experience with coating steel components with hot-dipped galvanizing and applying multi-part epoxy paint coating systems. • The project requires experience with new construction and steel fabrication. • The project has an estimated construction cost of $25,000,000 to $100,000,000.
