On-Call Engineering Servics

The Douglas County Community Development department is seeking qualified vendors to provide on-call engineering services for various capital improvement projects. The selected vendors will be utilized on an as-needed basis to assist the County with engineering support, including procurement phase services, construction phase services, and other related tasks. The initial agreement will be for a period of 12 months, with the option to renew for two additional periods of one year each. The County is looking for highly-qualified vendors with experience in engineering services, and the ability to provide a team of professionals with the necessary skills and expertise to perform the required tasks. Key responsibilities will include: • Providing engineering support for capital improvement projects • Assisting with procurement phase services, including reviewing project plans and specifications • Participating in pre-bid meetings and assisting with bid responses • Providing construction phase services, including on-site observation and inspection • Reviewing and analyzing written requests for change orders • Maintaining a current record of all variations or departures from the contract documents • Coordinating with other stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, and utility companies The County is seeking vendors with a strong understanding of engineering principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and project management skills. The selected vendors will be required to provide proof of insurance and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
