Engineering Design Services for Sewer Capacity Improvements - Sycamore Ave and HWY 78 (CIP No. 8396)

The Buena Sanitation District (BSD) is seeking proposals from qualified professional engineering firms to provide design surveying, geotechnical investigation, engineering design, permitting, and a complete set of design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for a sewer capacity improvement project in the City of Vista. The project involves upsizing an approximately 667’ long sewer located on Sycamore Ave crossing under CA SR-78. The selected firm will be required to demonstrate understanding of the project requirements, familiarity with District, City, State, and federal requirements and procedures, and technical experience in performing work of a closely related nature. • The project requires design surveying, geotechnical investigation, engineering design, permitting, and a complete set of design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. • The selected firm will be evaluated based on their project understanding, responsiveness to client’s needs, firm’s experience with similar projects, staff and project experience, knowledge of local wastewater collection system, and quality of work product. • The project timeline suggests that the negotiation of the agreement will be completed by April 24, 2026. • The selected firm will be required to upload their proposal, standard hourly bill rates, and W-9 as part of the evaluation process.
