FY26 Houston Ship Channel, Texas Bayport Flare Hopper Dredging

The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office is seeking a contract for Houston Ship Channel, Texas Bayport Flare Hopper Dredging in Chambers and Galveston County, Texas. The work consists of hopper dredging of the Bayport Flare, Houston Ship Channel, and ocean dredged material disposal site, as well as sea turtle protection and relocation. The contractor should have experience with hopper dredging deep draft navigation channels and be able to demonstrate experience producing at least 20,000 cubic yards per day. The completion time for the project is estimated at 69 calendar days after receipt of the notice to proceed. The solicitation will be a firm-fixed price contract award, with an estimated magnitude of $25,000,000 to $100,000,000. • The project involves dredging of approximately 658,000 cubic yards of Section 1 Bayport Flare, 645,000 cubic yards of Section 2 Bayport Flare, and 430,000 cubic yards of the Houston Ship Channel. • The contractor will be required to provide performance and payment bonds within 5 calendar days after award. • The contractor shall begin work within 10 calendar days after receipt of the notice to proceed. • A subcontracting plan will be required of the successful offeror if awarded to a large business and the contract amount is in excess of $1.5 million.
