This solicitation seeks a qualified contractor to provide student transportation services for Route 109, serving Phillipsburg Board of Education students during the June‑July 2026 period. The contractor must supply school‑bus‑sized vehicles, qualified drivers and aides, communication equipment, video‑recording systems, and meet extensive New Jersey regulatory requirements. The contract is a short‑term, per‑diem arrangement covering the end of the 2025‑26 school year and the Extended School Year (ESY).
• Provide daily transportation (June 1‑June 23 and July 1‑July 31, 2026) on a fixed route between Phillipsburg, NJ and Essex Valley School, West Caldwell, NJ.
• Furnish a school‑bus‑compliant vehicle with two‑way radio or cell‑phone, DVR covering interior and forward view, and maintain required inspection stickers.
• Deploy a qualified driver and a bus aide (background‑checked, TB‑tested, trained) for each service day, and handle all required reporting (accidents, “student left unattended,” license suspensions, etc.).
• Submit monthly invoices (by the 10th) for payment by month‑end; provide performance bond equal to the total contract value and maintain $1.5 M automotive liability insurance.
