Description
The 177th Fighter Wing Contracting Office intends to award a single source contract to Black River Systems Company, Inc. for BR4925R Ninja RFFE System upgrades. The NINJA system is currently the USAF and ANG Program of record for C-sUAS capability, and an updated RFFE is required due to supply chain issues and reduced engagement capability. The contract will be for the procurement of a replacement RFFE device. Key aspects of the job include:
• The NINJA system is used for domestic C-sUAS operations in the protection of airbases.
• The legacy RFFE model is outdated and no longer supported due to supply chain issues.
• Black River Systems is the only company that manufactures the RFFE device for the NINJA system.
• The contract is being awarded under the authority of FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B) due to proprietary specialized equipment replacement.
