Description
The Newark Board of Education seeks a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive interior and exterior painting services, as well as epoxy flooring installation, across multiple district facilities. The contract is firm‑fixed‑price, runs for a two‑year base term with an optional two‑year renewal, and must comply with New Jersey prevailing‑wage rules, safety, environmental, and “Made‑in‑USA” preferences. Bidders must be pre‑qualified with the NJ Dept. of Property Management & Construction and submit electronic bids (plus a mailed bid bond) by the deadline.
• Provide labor, supervision, materials, equipment, and all required safety/environmental compliance for painting (primer + two finish coats, VOC ≤ 50 g/L, approved manufacturers) and epoxy floor systems (substrate prep, moisture testing, high‑solids epoxy, slip‑resistant topcoat).
• Must meet specific performance specs (dry‑to‑touch times, coverage, viscosity, coating thickness, COF for flooring) and adhere to UCC, ADA, NFPA, and other applicable codes.
• Contractor must submit bid bond (10 % of total bid, max $20 k) and be able to furnish performance bonds, insurance, and required certifications.
