On-Call Environmental Consultant Services for Local and Federally Funded Projects

The County of Butte is seeking one or more qualified firms to provide environmental regulatory compliance and related professional services on an as-needed basis for future projects. The selected consultant(s) will provide services for a period of five years, with a not-to-exceed contract maximum of $150,000. The scope of work includes environmental reviews, assessments, and studies, as well as compliance with federal and state regulations. The consultant will be required to provide their own detailed scope of work during the negotiation process and during the life of the project when filling out task orders. Some key tasks and services include: • Assessments and/or studies as required, including air quality, water quality, and cultural, botanical, and biological features • Biological Resource Assessments under CEQA to determine the presence of special-status plant and wildlife species • Botanical surveys and wetland delineations as required by CEQA, NEPA, and/or regulatory agency permitting requirements • Natural Environment Study pursuant to Caltrans requirements • Preparation and/or coordination with lead agencies as required • Preparation of environmental documentation pursuant to the provisions of CEQA and/or NEPA • Conduct necessary biological studies, assessments, and documentation for permitting requirements • Process regulatory agency permit applications, resolve regulatory issues, and act as interagency liaison as required
