Description
The City of Manchester is seeking a qualified contractor to install an exterior Garaventa wheelchair lift at 200 Elm Street. The scope includes demolition of the existing stair and deck, construction of new wood framing, installation of lift masts and elevator pit, and all related electrical and data work. The lift hardware itself is supplied by a third party; the contractor’s responsibility is limited to site preparation and integration. The project is budgeted at approximately $90 k and must be completed within a tight two‑month construction window.
• Demolish and reconstruct exterior stair/deck, install structural lift components and elevator pit.
• Provide all labor, equipment, supervision, permits, and required safety measures.
• Comply with city work‑hour restrictions (7 a.m.–5 p.m., Mon‑Fri) and federal Buy‑America/Davis‑Bacon requirements.
• Submit sealed bid by August 13, 2026; mandatory site walk‑through on August 3, 2026.
