Description
The Statewide Procurement Division (SPD) is seeking sealed bids for Wheel Load Scales to be purchased by the Texas Department of Public Safety. The contract term is from the effective date to August 31, 2026. The scales must meet specific requirements, including being able to measure wheel and axle loads of vehicles with pneumatic tires, having a weighing capacity of 20,000 lb, and conforming to applicable technical requirements of the National Institute of Standards and Technology Handbook 44.
• The scales must be new, unused, and in first-class condition.
• The contractor must provide a warranty for at least 12 months from the date of acceptance by the customer.
• The contractor must provide proof of insurance, including commercial general liability and automobile liability.
• The contractor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
• The contractor must provide a signed copy of the contract and all attachments.
