2026 Paint Striping

Montrose County is accepting sealed bids from qualified contractors for centerline and edge line paint striping of various Montrose County roads. The bid will be for approximately 397 miles of 4-inch wide paint stripe on approximately 150 miles of County roads and includes turn arrows, stop bars, and ancillary preparation work. The contractor shall meet the requirements as shown on Attachment “A” – 2026 Road Paint Striping Specifications. Key points to consider: • The bid package can be downloaded from Montrose County’s website. • A 5% bid security is required with the bid. • The successful bidding contractor will be required to enter into an agreement with Montrose County. • A payment and performance bond equal to 100% of the bid amount will be required. • The contractor shall carry insurance coverage as outlined in the contract agreement. • The contractor shall complete the work no later than October 24, 2026, unless written permission by the County is granted to extend the completion date.
