• The minimum number of units for a project seeking tax credits is 20.
• The minimum number of units for projects that do not need tax credits is typically eight.
• Sponsors must apply through HLC's Intelligrants system.
• The evaluation criteria include the percentage of units reserved for Extremely Low-Income (ELI) units, strength of overall concept, strength of development team, and degree to which the project maximizes sustainable development principles.
• HLC intends to achieve geographic distribution in the awards made under this NOFA.
• A maximum of $5 million in subsidy funds will be set aside for rural projects that meet all the criteria included in this NOFA.
