Description
The Twin Rivers Unified School District is seeking a qualified contractor to perform extensive dry‑rot remediation and full exterior painting of Hazel Strauch Elementary School. The work includes removal and replacement of compromised wood components, priming and painting of stucco, brick, wood, metal, gutters, and portable structures, and compliance with lead‑paint, VOC, and safety regulations. The contract is a fixed‑price, lump‑sum award with a total estimated value of about $250 K and includes allowances for unforeseen dry‑rot and other conditions.
• Replace/repair all identified dry‑rot wood members (siding, skirting, trim, fascia, roof sheathing, plywood blocking, ramp skirting).
• Perform surface preparation, priming, and two‑coat exterior paint system on all exterior surfaces per Sherwin‑Williams specifications.
• Provide required permits, site‑safety plan, lead‑abatement compliance, and meet strict California environmental and prevailing‑wage requirements.
• Mandatory pre‑bid conference on‑site; bids due electronically March 10 2026; construction to start June 15 2026 with substantial completion by August 5 2026 and final close‑out by October 31 2026.
