Description
The American Embassy Kathmandu is seeking a contractor to supply, install, and commission three high-capacity heat pumps for swimming pool heating. The new equipment must meet or exceed the technical specifications outlined in the statement of work and be fully compatible with the existing plumbing, refrigerant piping, electrical, and control systems. The project includes removal and responsible disposal of the old units, installation of new units with all associated mechanical, electrical, and control connections, and comprehensive commissioning and training for facility staff.
Some key requirements include:
• Nominal Heating Capacity: ≥ 85.0 kW (each)
• Power Supply: 380-415V, 3-Phase, 50Hz
• Compressor Type: Scroll (e.g., Copeland or equivalent), commercial grade
• Heat Exchanger: Titanium, corrosion-resistant for salt/chlorinated pool water
• Chlorine Resistance: All wetted parts must be constructed from materials resistant to corrosion and degradation from chlorinated water
The contractor must provide a detailed construction schedule, hazard control plan, and operation and maintenance manuals upon project completion. The contractor must also submit a project-specific Safety Plan and Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) for approval.
