Description
The South Brunswick Board of Education is seeking a qualified contractor to provide out‑of‑district student transportation for the 2025‑2026 school year. The contract covers three defined routes (CRAN, DIS2, NWGR) requiring National School Bus Glossy Yellow vehicles, qualified drivers with CDL P & S endorsements, and aides where required. The contractor must meet extensive equipment, safety, insurance, bonding, and reporting requirements, and adhere to strict New Jersey statutes and district policies.
• Provide daily bus service on designated routes with minimum 7‑passenger capacity, equipped with radios, GPS, video recording, child‑alert and restraint systems.
• Supply qualified drivers and, for the CRAN route, a certified aide; maintain background‑check, TB, drug/alcohol testing, and annual certification compliance.
• Deliver bi‑annual vehicle inspections, accident reporting, safety training (twice per year), and all required certifications (affirmative‑action, political‑contribution, etc.) within the specified post‑award timelines.
