Description
Lakewood Board of Education is soliciting a contractor to provide full‑service student transportation for the 2025‑2026 school year. The contractor must supply compliant school buses, qualified drivers and aides, and meet strict equipment, insurance, and reporting requirements. This is a per‑diem contract with penalties for late arrivals, missed pick‑ups, and equipment failures, and includes performance‑bond and bid‑guarantee obligations.
• Provide bus transportation on all listed routes (one bus per route) from Sept 1 2025 to June 30 2026.
• Must field buses that are National School Bus Glossy Yellow, model ≥ 2010 (≥ 2008 for lift‑equipped), equipped with GPS, two‑way radios, DVR cameras, child‑alert systems, AC, and route ID cards.
• Driver and aide qualifications include NJ CDL with P & S endorsements, background checks, TB testing, uniform standards, and ongoing safety training.
