The County of Los Angeles, Department of Parks and Recreation seeks a qualified private operator to manage, operate, and maintain the Arcadia Tennis Center – a facility with 10 lighted tennis courts, 8 pickleball courts, a pro‑shop, and supporting amenities. The contractor will be responsible for daily operations, court reservations, equipment rental, food‑beverage sales, instructional programs, community outreach, routine and capital maintenance, and compliance with all safety, insurance, and regulatory requirements. The agreement is a concession with a minimum monthly rent of $6,750 plus a percentage of gross receipts, a 2 % capital‑improvement contribution, and a security deposit of $7,000. The term is five years with an optional five‑year renewal (maximum ten years), commencing May 1 2027. Applicants must demonstrate at least three years of recent experience operating a comparable tennis/pickleball facility, possess a valid business license, and maintain a $100,000 line of credit. • Manage all aspects of tennis and pickleball court operations (hours, reservations, fees). • Operate the on‑site pro‑shop, food‑beverage sales, and equipment rental. • Provide instructional lessons, camps, tournaments, and community programs. • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and capital improvements (CIP funded partially by the County). • Pay monthly rent (minimum $6,750) plus percentage of receipts and CIP contributions. • Maintain required insurance, security deposit, and compliance documentation. • Submit proposals by October 6 2026.
