The Washington State Department of Commerce’s Office of Economic Development & Competitiveness (OEDC) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to collect input for a future grant program that will support projects aimed at decarbonizing hard‑to‑decarbonize industrial sectors across the state. The RFI seeks detailed project concepts, cost estimates, matching‑fund details, anticipated economic, energy, and climate impacts, and community/tribal engagement plans. Responses are limited to 500 words per question and must be submitted by email no later than October 30 2026. • Target sectors include advanced materials, aerospace, chemicals, food processing, fuels, electronics, and other energy‑intensive manufacturing.

• Projects must demonstrate clear decarbonization pathways (e.g., energy efficiency, low‑carbon fuels, CCUS, material substitution, industrial electrification) and provide quantified economic and greenhouse‑gas reduction metrics.
• Matching‑fund contributions are a priority, with an emphasis on directing at least 20 % of grant dollars to over‑burdened communities.
