Illinois Regional Site Readiness Program

The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity is issuing a Notice of Funding Opportunity to support infrastructure and other capital improvements on sites across the state to advance the readiness of properties with industrial and manufacturing economic development potential. The Regional Site Readiness Program aims to better prepare sites for industrial and manufacturing economic development across the state. The program will provide funding for infrastructure improvements, land acquisition, and other activities to make sites more readily developable. Eligible applicants include local governments, economic development organizations, nonprofit organizations, for-profit organizations, and private landowners. The program requires a portion of the total project costs to be funded by the grantee, as determined by the grantee type. The program also requires a written statement indicating that the applicant intends to lease or sell the property for future industrial development.
