Description
The Town of Douglas is seeking bids from qualified contractors to demolish a small single-family residence and associated outbuildings at 19 Main Street in Douglas, Massachusetts. The structure contains asbestos, and the site must be addressed as an asbestos remediation site. The work must be completed by June 30, 2026. The contractor will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including workplace safety, environmental compliance, and prevailing wage rules.
• The contractor must have all necessary licensing for asbestos removal and general contracting work.
• A 5% bid deposit is required with each bid.
• The successful bidder must furnish a payment bond equal to 50% of the contract price within 10 days of contract award.
• The Town reserves the right to dismiss any and/or all bids if it is in the Town's interest to do so.
