Description
The City of Brookside Village is seeking a contractor to provide exclusive municipal solid waste disposal and recycling services. The contractor will be responsible for collecting, disposing, and processing solid waste, bulky and brush waste, and recyclable materials from single-family homes and city facilities. The contract will be for a period of five years with an option to renew for two additional one-year extensions. The contractor will be required to provide efficient and economical services, maintain positive communications with the city and customers, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
• The contractor will provide twice weekly collection of solid waste and once weekly collection of recyclable materials.
• The contractor will be responsible for maximizing sanitary and esthetic living conditions for the citizens of Brookside Village.
• The contractor will provide a program for solid waste and recycling collections for the elderly and/or disabled.
• The contractor will be required to maintain insurance coverage, including workers' compensation, commercial general liability, and automobile liability.
• The contractor will be required to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to environmental protection and labor standards.
