The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Kansas City District is seeking a qualified small‑business contractor to perform a comprehensive renovation of the Challenger Dormitories at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri. The work is a Design‑Bid‑Build, firm‑fixed‑price construction effort that includes site grading, structural brick repair, installation of new metal gutters, complete replacement of interior lighting with LED fixtures, door and window replacement, new interior finishes, full plumbing replacement (including cast‑iron wet drains), HVAC system overhaul with new ductwork, construction of a large patio cover with BBQ grill and bike rack, and refurbishment of recreation and day rooms, plus miscellaneous items such as a new mailbox center and GFCI receptacles.
