Prequalification: CT7 Inpatient and Research Renovations

The project involves the renovation of approximately 1,000 square feet of existing clinic storage space to accommodate a new research laboratory and a clean supply room. The work includes selective demolition, construction of new partition walls, installation of new flooring, ceilings, and finishes, and modifications to the mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and fire alarm systems. Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) and Life Safety measures will be implemented throughout construction to maintain hospital operations and ensure patient and staff safety. • The project requires pre-qualification by the Department of Administrative Services (DAS) for the Classification of GENERAL BUILDING CONSTRUCTION (GROUP C). • The estimated total cost of the project is $1,500,000. • The project is located at the UConn Health Center. • The project involves various trades, including general building construction, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection.
