The justification for this sole source acquisition is that Genesis Rescue Systems equipment best meets the operational requirements of the department's rescue operations. The equipment provides reliable cutting, spreading, and lifting capabilities designed specifically for emergency vehicle extrication and technical rescue environments. • The equipment is currently utilized on frontline apparatus throughout the fleet. • Standardizing this equipment supports operational consistency, simplifies training and maintenance, ensures interoperability of batteries and components between units, and reduces delays during multi-unit emergency responses. • The procurement approach recommended is the Sole Source Procurement method, with Rescue Systems Unlimited, LLC as the intended contractor.
