Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a vendor to provide a Radiation ISO dosing QA device solution for the Washington DC VA Medical Center. The system should include GED and ISORAD detectors for electron and photon beams, enabling direct verification of the actual dose administered. The equipment should allow the Radiation Therapy Department to verify, in real-time, the accuracy of delivered doses to patients and support more complex treatments. The procurement shall include all parts, materials, labor, software/licenses, resources, and training required to implement and utilize the equipment/system to its fullest capacity. • The system should have a wireless rf-IVD 2 to reduce clinic clutter. • The system should have expandable 52 channels, allowing simultaneous multi-site dose measurements. • The system should have multiple standard channels (at least 8 wireless) for real-time in-vivo dose monitoring at several patient locations. • The system should have a programmable control module for flexible operation and easy customization. • The system should be compatible with industry-standard reusable detectors (Quantum Electrodynamics and ISORAD). • The system should have automatic patient temperature compensation for reliable dose readings. • The system should have a patient database and correction factor tools for robust patient tracking and dose verification.
