SOUTH 3RD STREET TREE AND STUMP REMOVAL

The City of Wilmington is seeking qualified contractors to remove eleven public‑right‑of‑way trees and/or stumps along South 3rd Street, complete with utility protection, back‑filling, debris removal, and compliance with safety and traffic‑control standards. The work must be finished within 60 days of contract start, and payment is made only after satisfactory completion and inspection. • Remove each tree in its entirety (roots, limbs, leaves, fruit). • Grind each stump to a depth of 24 inches and back‑fill with generated material, compacted to approximately 3 inches above grade. • Protect all underground utilities (contact NC 811 and City Traffic Engineering) and avoid damage to adjacent property; any damages are the contractor’s responsibility. • Provide OSHA‑compliant safety measures, traffic control (funded by NCDOT), daily debris removal, weekly progress reports, and corrective action within two weeks of any deficiency.
