Description
The Navajo Nation Division of Transportation is soliciting proposals to demolish and reconstruct the parking lot at the Shiprock Senior Center. The contractor will be responsible for demolition, site grading, erosion control, utility protection, placement of geosynthetic reinforcement, aggregate base and asphalt pavement, concrete pads, wheel‑stops, sidewalks, striping, and all associated safety and quality‑control documentation. The project follows the 2019 NMDOT Standard Specifications and requires a 10 % bid bond, with performance and payment bonds equal to the contract amount. The work must be performed within a one‑year contract term beginning August 31, 2026.
• Demolition of existing parking‑lot pavement (≈0.6 acres) and removal of associated structures.
• Grading, installation of untreated aggregate base, Tensar NX750 geosynthetic, and hot‑mix asphalt pavement.
• Construction of concrete pads, wheel‑stops, ADA‑compliant ramp, sidewalk, and pavement striping.
• Utility protection (water vault, fire hydrant, light pole) and required permits (water permit).
