Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking a contractor to provide janitorial services for the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) at Research Triangle Park (RTP), North Carolina. The contractor will be responsible for maintaining all NIEHS facilities in a clean and sanitary condition, including laboratories, offices, and common areas. The contract will include a base period of one year, with four one-year option periods and one six-month option period. The contractor will be required to provide all necessary labor, supervision, transportation, equipment, and supplies to perform the janitorial services.
Some key aspects of the job include:
• Daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning of all areas, including laboratories, offices, and common areas
• Infection control and cleaning of high-risk areas, such as the Clinical Research Unit (CRU)
• Maintenance of floors, including stripping, waxing, and polishing
• Cleaning of windows, blinds, and other surfaces
• Disposal of trash and recyclables
• Providing on-call, emergency, and special event services
The contractor will be evaluated based on their technical approach, past performance, and price. The contract will be awarded to the lowest-priced offeror whose proposal is rated acceptable for all non-price factors.
