Intent to Sole Source: Chant Vertical Pull Test Machine Troubleshoot and Repair

The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard is seeking a contractor to troubleshoot and repair the Chant Vertical Pull Test Machine. The contract will also cover a yearly preventative maintenance service for a base period of one year, with four optional years. The contractor will be required to provide a detailed service report after each visit, stating all findings and corrective actions needed to bring the machine back to OEM specs. • The contractor must be the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or have authorization from the OEM to perform the work. • The contractor must provide firm-fixed pricing for scheduled preventative maintenance services. • The contractor must provide fully burdened labor rates for unscheduled repairs. • The contractor must provide a proposed fixed percentage markup on commercially procured parts and materials. The ideal contractor will have experience working with similar equipment and have a strong understanding of the requirements outlined in the Statement of Work.
