Virtual Prime & Geo-Prime Sites and DSR

The St. Johns County - Purchasing Department is seeking a sole source provider to upgrade the existing G series Prime site and Geo-prime site to the Virtual Prime D Series site, including related equipment, to provide additional layers of resiliency to St. Johns’ County’s ASTRO 25 trunking system. The new D Series Virtualized Prime Site depends on the system backhaul, which has been migrated to use an existing MPLS network design. FDMA licenses for the prime sites are included as part of the virtual prime upgrades. Dynamic System Resilience (DSR) acts as a backup to the County’s primary Core, so that in the event that the primary core loses connection with the dispatch and RF subsites, the County’s ASTRO system will failover to the DSR core which will maintain critical radio system communications. • The project includes upgrading the existing G series Prime site and Geo-prime site to the Virtual Prime D Series site. • The project includes providing related equipment to provide additional layers of resiliency to St. Johns’ County’s ASTRO 25 trunking system. • The new D Series Virtualized Prime Site depends on the system backhaul, which has been migrated to use an existing MPLS network design. • FDMA licenses for the prime sites are included as part of the virtual prime upgrades. • Dynamic System Resilience (DSR) acts as a backup to the County’s primary Core.
