WALKING IRON TRAIL

The Walking Iron Trail project involves the reconstruction and rehabilitation of existing timber rail bridges, resurfacing and expansion of a gravel parking lot, and construction of approximately 3 miles of aggregate surface multi-modal trail. The project aims to extend the Walking Iron Trail for public multi-modal recreational use. Interested vendors should have demonstrated experience in site civil work and the ability to manage projects of similar size and complexity. The project must comply with all applicable requirements, including Federal requirements for the Federally Funded Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) and prevailing wage laws. • Reconstruction of 2 existing timber rail bridges • Rehabilitation of 5 existing timber rail bridges • Resurfacing and expansion of a gravel parking lot • Construction of approximately 3 miles of aggregate surface multi-modal trail • Compliance with Federal requirements for TAP and prevailing wage laws • Demonstrate experience in site civil work and project management
