Rancho Vista Blvd At-grade Crossing Safety Improvements

The City of Palmdale is seeking a qualified civil/traffic engineering consultant to design safety improvements at the at‑grade railroad crossing of Rancho Vista Blvd and Sierra Highway. The scope includes surveying existing conditions, preparing 50 % and 80 % preliminary design packages, completing 100 % construction‑ready drawings and specifications, estimating construction costs, and coordinating encroachment permits with Union Pacific and SCRRA. Up to 120 hours of construction‑phase engineering support may be required. • Survey and base‑map the right‑of‑way, utilities, and roadway features. • Prepare preliminary (50 % & 80 %) and final (100 %) design documents, cost estimates, and specifications. • Manage permitting, coordination with rail agencies, CPUC, and the City, and provide limited on‑site support during construction.
