The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide spa bathtubs for the Sioux Falls VA Medical Center. The contractor must provide a left-side door entry spa bathtub with a built-in post transfer system, and must also remove and install the new spa bathtubs. The contractor must meet specific salient characteristics, including a minimum door opening size of 33 inches, a tub size not to exceed 72 inches wide and 69 inches long, and an automatic disinfection system. The contractor must also provide a 1-year warranty or the manufacturer's warranty, whichever is greater. The delivery and installation of the spa bathtubs must be completed within 90-120 days after the award. • Must have left side door entry. • Minimum door opening size 33 inches. • Tub size not to exceed 72 inches wide and 69 inches long. • Must have no rails to adjust or level. • Must have height adjustable integrated transfer seat. • Lift capacity must be a minimum of 400lbs. • Must have automatic disinfection system. • Must use 3/4 inch hot and cold water supply lines. • Must use 2 inch PVC drainpipe. • Must have electrical rating of 120 volts, 7.25 amps. • Must have patient transfer system built into the tub, no separate lifts to maintain and store. • Removal of existing spa tubs from CLC 2, CLC 3, and delivery to warehouse for proper dispositioning. • Must include unpacking and moving new spa tubs from warehouse to CLC 2 and CLC 3. • Installation of new spa tubs to include any plumbing, electrical, floor, wall, door, and door jamb damage during removal and installation must be included.
