Writer and Music Mentor

Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools seeks a qualified contractor to deliver a comprehensive two‑year Writer and Music Mentor program for K‑12 students. The effort includes multi‑day writer residencies, music‑production and songwriting workshops, mentorship, poetry slams, and related events, with a strong emphasis on cultural responsiveness and data‑driven outcomes. The vendor must support classroom residencies reaching all students, a writing‑center serving 250 students, and clubs serving 100 students, while collecting quarterly academic and qualitative metrics. • Design and execute writer, music‑production, and songwriting residencies and workshops for grades 3‑12. • Provide mentor‑led activities, poetry slams, and community events; maintain a writing‑center with individualized tutoring. • Collect and report quantitative (MAP, ACT, AP‑Lit/Lang) and qualitative data (student samples, surveys) on a quarterly basis. • Meet cultural‑responsiveness requirements, sustain a two‑year presence, and comply with extensive insurance, background‑check, and ADA obligations.
