Request for Engineering Services - Old Town Rd Improvement

The Town of Ripton seeks engineering services for the final plans and costs for the upgrade of approximately 3 miles of class 4 Old Town Rd to passable condition for emergency use and to phased improvement for further upgrade. The project includes replacing a 48” diameter culvert, designing and permitting for a new bridge, and acquiring necessary permits. The project must be completed by November 31, 2026. • The project is funded by a Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) grant award. • The VTrans Municipal Assistance Section Local Projects Guidebook will provide a general framework for the project. • The project involves designing and permitting for the upgrade of Old Town Rd, including replacing a bridge and culverts. • The project requires acquiring necessary permits and completing a benefit-cost analysis. • The project must be completed by November 31, 2026.
