USNS KAISER ALLIED DAVIT OVHL

The US Navy intends to make a sole source award to Allied System for the overhaul of the No.2 Rescue Boat Davit aboard the USNS HENRY J. KAISER (T-AO 187). The justification for this sole source award is that Allied System is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and manufacturer of parts for the davit, and they sell directly to the Government. • The product must be a direct replacement part for existing equipment and compatible with the Make and Model: __________________________________________ • The procurement is considered an urgent requirement, as defined in Naval Warfare Publication 1, and the routine processing time would injure the Government. • The determination that the procurement for the above is an urgent requirement is based on the date on which the requirement was identified and the required delivery date or period of performance.
