RFP # 0326-1 Request for Proposals for Library Smart Cards

The Queens Borough Public Library is seeking qualified firms or individuals to supply and implement a complete Library Smart Card system. The contract will cover design, production, personalization, and integration of smart cards that will be used for patron identification, circulation, and access to library services. Proposers must demonstrate experience with card printing, RFID/NFC technology, and software integration with library management systems. • Provide design, printing, and personalization of library smart cards (estimated several thousand units). • Supply the necessary hardware (readers, encoders) and software interfaces to integrate with the library’s existing circulation system. • Offer installation, testing, training for library staff, and ongoing support/maintenance for the card system. • Ensure compliance with security and privacy standards for patron data. • Deliver all components and services by the contract deadline, with a clear rollout schedule.
