Description
Construction of a new 115 kV transformer pad bypass outside the city limits of Hastings, Nebraska. The scope includes excavation, reinforcement, formwork, concrete placement, installation of conduit stubs, CPER‑OR liner, geotextile filter fabric, and associated quality‑assurance testing. The contractor must meet stringent bonding, insurance, and warranty requirements and complete the work by the substantial‑completion date of June 1 2026.
• Excavation and footings, reinforced concrete pad (≈4,000 psi concrete) with conduit and liner installations.
• Mandatory submission of mix‑design reports, shop drawings, and field test results per Section 16803.6.
• Performance bond (100 % of contract price), maintenance bond (100 % for 3 years), 5 % retainage, and a Letter of Credit covering 125 % of uncompleted work.
• All work must adhere to OSHA safety standards, Nebraska sales‑use tax rules (5.5 % on materials), and City of Hastings contractual provisions.
