The Federal Prison Industries (FPI) is seeking information from potential suppliers for the provision of wire harnesses for their Fleet Group. The objective of this Request for Information (RFI) is to collaborate with industry on how best to structure the Request for Proposal (RFP) to ensure greater market awareness and participation by relevant and capable suppliers. The RFI is looking for information on the availability of wire harnesses from domestic sources, industry standard lead times, and economic price increases. • The RFI is for a three-year agreement to purchase wire harnesses for the Fleet Group. • The purchase of these materials is to allow UNICOR inmate workers to upfit vehicles to sell to the Federal Government. • Delivery locations are FCI Bastrop, TX, FCI La Tuna, TX, and FCI Victorville, CA. • Estimates for three-year quantities are provided in the RFI document. • The RFI is open to all interested parties, and responses must be submitted electronically.
