The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) is seeking information on potential sources for satellite optics. The optics should be suitable for deployment on Evolved Secondary Payload Adapter (ESPA)-class small satellites as part of a space domain awareness (SDA) payload. The optics should have an aperture diameter of 0.1m to 0.5m, an F/# of 3 or less, and a bandpass of 400nm to 1000nm. The optics should also have a mass of 80kg or less and be able to operate in a variety of orbital environments.
• The optics should be able to detect objects of interest at significant range and have a field of view of at least several degrees.
• The optics should be able to operate in low Earth orbit (LEO) to xGEO/Cislunar orbit.
• The mission lifetime should be three to five years.
• The optics should be designed to maximize field of view for a given aperture size.
• The optics should be able to provide additional details such as obscuration area, overall transmission, estimated optical performance, and thermal performance.
