Description
Caltrans is seeking an on‑call, as‑needed rental and operation service for a fully‑operated mechanical brush‑removal tractor and a fully‑operated water‑truck (attenuator) to be used throughout San Diego County. The contractor must supply all labor, tools, fuel, travel, maintenance, and any required traffic‑control services, and respond to service requests within five days. The agreement is structured as an hourly‑rate contract lasting up to three years, with a maximum of one tractor and one water‑truck available at any time.
• Provide one (1) brush‑removal tractor (minimum 125 hp, 2020‑model or newer) with masticator attachment, operated 24/7 on an on‑call basis.
• Provide one (1) water‑truck/attenuator (≈2,000 gal capacity) operated under the same on‑call terms.
• Include all associated labor, fuel, transport, maintenance, and (if needed) traffic‑control services; maintain equipment in safe, operable condition; and comply with prevailing‑wage, licensing, insurance, and environmental requirements.
