The College Station Independent School District is seeking competitive proposals from suppliers for various categories of supplies, parts, equipment, and services. The district aims to establish a list of pre-qualified vendors that can provide these items upon request. The categories include electrical, plumbing, HVAC, general building, carpentry, lumber, paint, welding, grounds, custodial, vocational, instructional, signage, and other supplies. Proposers should submit discounts and/or rates for each category and indicate "no bid" for categories they do not offer. The contract term will be for 12 months, with the option to renew for four additional one-year terms. The district reserves the right to reject any and all responses and to waive technical defects in responses.
Some key points to consider:
* The district spends over $500,000 in local funds per year on these items.
* Vendors must submit a discount percentage from their catalog/shelf/retail price.
* The district may request additional information and waive any formalities in the bidding process.
* The contract will be awarded to multiple suppliers on an incremental basis during the solicitation period.
* The district will evaluate proposals based on factors such as pricing, reputation, quality of goods/services, and the vendor's past relationship with the district.
* The contract may be renewed month-to-month if a new contract cannot be executed at the anniversary date of the original term or any renewal term.
* The district reserves the right to procure maintenance supplies by other means if deemed advantageous.
* Vendors are responsible for the conduct of their employees and adherence to CSISD building policies.
* The district will not pay for mileage or fuel charges.
* The contractor must comply with all national, state, and local codes and pay all applicable costs, fees, and permits.
* The district reserves the right to inspect materials and equipment proposed by the vendor and to reject any that do not meet the specifications.
* The contractor shall have sufficient resources to work on multiple jobs at the same time.
* The district will pay for any permits required to complete a project.
* The contractor must provide a copy of the permit receipt with the invoice to be reimbursed.
* The district will not pay for the purchase or rental of equipment normally provided by tradesmen services.
* The contractor may rent specialty tools, but must provide a copy of the rental agreement with the invoice to be reimbursed.
* The district will consider delivery complete only when all items that are part of a unit (same purchase order) are delivered in full.

* The contractor shall be able to complete all tasks normally encountered in commercial and residential service and repair.
