RE-ADVERTISEMENT REMOVE, SUPPLY & INSTALL CHECK VALVE FOR RAW WATER PUMP #3

The City of Trenton, Department of Water & Sewer, is seeking bids for the removal, supply, and installation of a check valve for Raw Water Pump #3 at the Trenton Water Filtration Plant. The project involves removing the existing 30" Series 6000 APCO check valve and supplying and installing a new 30" APCO Series 6000 check valve or pre-approved equal. The contractor must be certified as a Belzona coatings installer in New Jersey and coat the new check valve with pre-approved Belzona coating. The contractor must also own and operate the required 15-ton crane, operator, and trucking equipment for this work. Some key features of the check valve include an air-cushioned design, a cast iron body, and a 316 stainless steel body seat. • The check valve must be tested by the manufacturer as a complete assembly per AWWA C508. • The contractor must supply and install new Victaulic coupling gaskets and new hardware and gaskets. • The gate valve on the discharge side of the check valve does not hold, and the seat of the gate valve has debris in it. The contractor must clear the valve without a shutdown or work with the valve leaking approximately 50-100 GPM. • The new valve must be painted to match the existing color onsite with two-part epoxy paint.
