Civics Education, Religious Tolerance, and New York State History of Diversity Curricular Resources

The New York State Education Department (NYSED) is seeking a vendor to develop statewide K‑12 curricular resources and accompanying asynchronous professional‑development (PD) modules that cover civics education, religious tolerance, and New York’s shared history of diversity. The work includes creating stand‑alone activities aligned to NY State Learning Standards and the Culturally‑Responsive‑Sustaining (CR‑S) framework, ensuring full WCAG 2.1 accessibility, handling all copyright clearances, and delivering a digital repository platform. The vendor will also participate in an NYSED‑convened advisory board and co‑facilitate 1‑2 virtual training sessions for BOCES and “Big 5” districts toward the end of the project. Up to two contracts may be awarded; subcontracting is capped at 30 % of total budget, and NY certified M/WBE participation goals (17 % MBE, 13 % WBE) must be met.
