The State of Colorado, Department of Natural Resources, is seeking a contractor to collect topobathymetric LiDAR data in the 15 Mile Reach of the Colorado River. The data will be used to support 2D HEC-RAS modeling focused on habitat assessments. The contractor will acquire high-resolution topobathymetric LiDAR data and imagery, and may need to supplement LiDAR data with boat-based bathymetric data. The project is expected to start on December 15, 2025, and be completed by August 1, 2026, with a possible extension of up to six months.
• The contractor will be responsible for acquiring and processing LiDAR data and imagery.
• The contractor will need to work with the CWCB and Recovery Program staff to schedule flights and ensure that the river flows are as low as possible during data acquisition.
• The contractor will be required to provide a project summary report, topobathymetric LiDAR and sonar data, digital elevation model, and imagery.
• The contractor will need to ensure that all data is collected and delivered within 90 days of the final acquisition flight.
